About me
I'm Henri-Hubert, but everyone calls me Henri (he/him). I started as a commercial pilot, then transitioned to design, and eventually became a software engineer. I've spent over 10 years in tech — working as a full-stack developer, front-end developer, tech lead, and CTO. I am also the proud father to two children, aged 8 and 4.
I spent eight years as front-end developer, then CTO at Tymate, a digital agency, helping companies build their products and supporting my team's growth — both professionally and personally. During that time, I worked on everything from small websites to large-scale applications, which taught me how to balance ambition with pragmatism.
Now I work as a freelance engineer, focusing on software development, audits, and helping teams master React, Next.js, and advanced AI-assisted development workflows.
After hours, you'll find me experimenting with mixology and cooking italian food, or strapped into a VR headset flying planes. I've lived across several countries — France, Belgium, the UK, the US, and Namibia — which has fed my love for traveling, meeting new people, and learning about different cultures.
If you need more info, feel free to contact me on Mastodon, GitHub, or to book a call with me.
My stack
This is the tech stack I'm most at ease with, though I'm completely open to exploring alternatives, whether JavaScript-based or not. My focus is on delivering value while keeping things simple and straightforward. That's why I'm cautious about recommending tools like Kubernetes or Terraform until they're genuinely needed.
