# About Me

Henri-Hubert Michel, software engineer in Lille. 10+ years with React, Next.js, TypeScript. Available for audits, development and team training.
Henri-Hubert Michel — freelance software engineer & Tech Lead.

I spent eight years as front-end developer, then CTO at Tymate, a Lille-based agency, helping companies build their products and supporting my team's growth, both professionally and personally. During that time, I worked on all types of projects, from showcase websites to SaaS products for large accounts, which taught me how to balance ambition with pragmatism.

Now I work as a freelance software engineer, focusing on software development, audits, and helping teams master React, Next.js, and advanced [AI-assisted development](/ai) workflows.

After hours, you'll find me experimenting with mixology and cooking italian food, or strapped into a VR headset flying planes. I've lived across several countries (France, Belgium, the UK, the US, and Namibia), which has fed my love for traveling, meeting new people, and learning about different cultures.
